About the Organization:
CEF believes that every child needs Jesus. Their desire is to reach unchurched, unreached children with the Gospel, disciple them and establish them and their families in a local Bible-believing church. Our primary opportunity is the after-school Good News Club® which impacts the child, the family, the school environment, and the community. The Western Wisconsin chapter, which encompasses seven counties in the Driftless region, has a population of approximately 33,000 children and 124 elementary schools. In the summer, we train teens to impact the next generation with the Gospel in backyards, parks and festivals.

Good News Club®
- Pray that the Lord will raise dedicated teams to establish a Good News Club in every elementary school throughout Western Wisconsin.
- Pray specifically for the school districts in Coon Valley, Sparta, New Lisbon, La Crosse Emerson, Holmen Evergreen, Camp Douglas, West Salem, Coon Valley, and Northside Elementary. May these clubs overcome their challenges and thrive.
- Ultimately, pray that through these efforts, hundreds of children will have the opportunity to hear the Gospel and come to believe in Jesus as their Savior.
- Staff and Volunteer Support – Remember to pray for ongoing Teacher Trainings and Teacher Enrichment sessions, that they would be fruitful and impactful. Lift up all staff and volunteers, asking the Lord to give them renewed passion, clear vision, and energy as they serve in these ministries.
Good News Clubhouse
- Pray for the Gospel outreach efforts taking place during the Christmas Train event in December. Ask for the message of hope and salvation to reach many hearts during this special time.
Christian Youth in Action
- Pray for teenagers, especially peer leaders, in our area to actively participate in outreach events throughout the school year.

- Pray for the seeds that were planted into so many hearts through the sharing of the gospel.
- Pray over the Kicking Bear families that are served through mentoring. That there would be provision, healing, and hope for all of them that face challenges from the world. We also pray that God will provide more mentors for Kicking Bear and then the Holy Spirit will guide them in making connections and that the relationships created will be healthy, encouraging and guided by God.
- Pray over Kicking Bear’s ministry team and volunteers. That God will continue to provide direction, resources and strength as they share the Gospel, serve families and disciple youth.
- Pray for Kicking Bear’s future development and multiplication in communities across the United States.
- Pray for some rest and refilling as we wrap up our insane schedule for the year.
- Pray for God to guide the ministry as we spend the rest of the year focusing on administrative tasks, fundraising and future development.

Prayer Requests:
- Please pray for me, that I would listen to God’s gentle invitations. Recently, I have had a few people prophesy over me about the gift of healing. I have had a desire for this gift for some time now and am asking God what the next step is while I wait. Pray I would move in a spirit of boldness and faith, not timidity and fear.
Praise Report:
- Praise God for what He’s doing in one man’s heart who is living with me. He’s 19 years old and strongly seeking something outside of himself. God is drawing him ever so gently. Pray he commits his life to Jesus.
- Praise God that another believer who is staying with me just finished writing a book and is in the final publishing stage. This book is a powerful testimony to the transformational journey that this young man has been through. Pray that God uses it to declare His power to the next generation.

- Prayer for our program staff, Dean and Jason, to have wisdom and persistence in walking with the men who are coming through the program.
- Pray for Next Chapter’s search for a new Executive Director as Chris Crye transitions into retirement. Thanks Chris for your many years of service and eternal legacy!

- Pray for a successful outreach at Christmas for a partner church in Vientiane Laos, as they will be inviting 3,000 plus local families in the community to a few Christmas celebrations where the birth of Christ will be celebrated and the Gospel will be presented to the community.
- Pray for Andrew Hepburn and the workers, for safety of his staff and best course to steer as authorities are continuing to investigate the farm for Christian outreach.
- Pray for Colton Wagner as he returns from Torchbearers in Albania and then on to Global Outreach for Missionary Orientation training and on to Laos.
- Pray for teachers for Modular Study Group, for the school of missionary families in Laos, especially science and math teachers.
- Pray for the new believers at Mai Savanh Lao company who now have started attending a local Lao church, it became risky for them to meet at the home of Dr. Philippe. Pray they would be discipled and grow stronger in their faith in the Lao Church.
- Pray for the construction of a Medical Clinic 1.5 hours south of Luang Prabang Laos where there is no medical care available. This will be the only medical facility in the area. It will be operated and run by our national mission partners in Laos.
- Pray for the balance of the funding to be raised for the X-ray machine and other equipment for the clinic in Laos.
- Pray for the team of 24 people going to Laos in January for two weeks doing medical training and other training with our partners in Laos.
- Pray for the Child Sponsorship program as we now have 280 additional children at risk who need support for their nutrition, education and housing. Many of these children are from the poorest areas of Laos.
- 100,000 nutrition bars have been produced, but now the borders are closed so prayer is needed to find alternative ways to get the nutrition bars into Myanmar to help alleviate malnutrition among the children. The shipments have stopped as the Myanmar government has confiscated the past two shipments and we need to find an alternative route to get the nutrition bars to the children, instead of ending up in the hands of the military. Many necessary food items have become scarce with the political turmoil and children are suffering. The nutrition bars are manufactured by ministry partners in Laos and sent to Myanmar. This helps create jobs for Laotian people and also benefits the Myanmar children.
- Pray for the educational system in Laos, as many teachers have not been able to be paid for five years and are leaving the teaching profession to find jobs elsewhere. The education system is in very desperate need of teachers, as the children are not able to attend school.
- Praise God that the exchange rate has stabilized for the dollar and the Lao Kep, as the extreme inflation made it even more difficult for the Lao people.
- Praise God for the successful trip in October for the team laying out the groundwork for the January medical and training trip.
- Praise God at the refugee camps on the Burmese/Thai border for the newly started skills initiative by Andrew Hepburn to help extremely poor believers which is exceeding all expectations with sewing, crochet, embroidery, cooking, weaving classes for 100 attending these classes.
